Because we also handle the carpentry and the wider build, the joinery ties cleanly into the rest of the work.

The difference with custom joinery is that we build to your room rather than bending your room around a fixed set of flat-pack boxes. The right boards for the job
Material choice is half of good joinery. Indoors we use quality cabinet boards and finishes that wear well and stay looking sharp. In wet areas and outdoors it's moisture-resistant boards, marine-grade or stainless hardware and finishes built to cope with humidity and salt air. Near the coast that's not optional, because the wrong board swells and the wrong hinge rusts, and we'd rather build it once to last.

- Flat-pack is a fixed set of modules you build your room around. Joinery is built to suit your space, your storage and the way you use the room, with no wasted gaps or awkward fillers. It costs more than flat-pack, but it fits properly and lasts, and you get exactly the storage you need.
- Can you match joinery to the rest of my home?
- Yes. We choose the door style, finish, handles and detailing to suit the room and the rest of the house, whether you want it to blend in quietly or stand out. In older homes we can match existing detail so the new built-ins look like they've always been there.
- Do you do outdoor and alfresco cabinetry?
- We do. Outdoor kitchens and BBQ areas need moisture-resistant boards, marine-grade or stainless hardware and finishes that cope with the weather and salt air down here. We build them to handle the conditions rather than using indoor materials that won't last outside.
- Is joinery worth it for storage?
- Usually, yes. Custom built-ins make far better use of a room than off-the-shelf furniture, turning dead corners, awkward nooks and full-height walls into proper storage. It's one of the cheapest ways to make a home feel bigger and tidier.
