Home extensions and renovations in Albion Park

We do both across Albion Park and Albion Park Rail: extensions that add floor area, and renovations that rework the space you already have. Which one you actually need usually comes down to whether the house is short of room or just badly arranged, and that's the first thing we work out on site rather than after you've paid for drawings.

The two halves of Albion Park ask for different jobs. The newer estate homes on the Tullimbar and Calderwood side are rarely short of bedrooms, so the work there tends to be a second living area, a better connection out to the yard, or reworking a kitchen that was built to a builder's standard spec. The older homes closer to the village, and the rural-residential blocks out towards the escarpment, are the ones where an extension makes sense, because the original footprint was drawn for a smaller way of living.

Blocks through here are mostly flat and reasonably generous, which is why a ground-floor addition is usually the cheaper answer than going up. Building out avoids the structural work a new upper level demands. We price the ground-floor option first unless the block genuinely rules it out.

Smaller jobs are worth doing properly too. A laundry that was designed as a corridor, or an original bathroom that's tight on floor space, are both common through the older streets and both fit neatly alongside a larger renovation while the trades are already on site.
